We’ve been blinging for over 25 years and these are a few of the tricks we have picked up along the way. One of the special things about blinging is that there are no ‘advanced techniques’ to get confused about. All that is involved is gluing crystal in patterns, shapes and lines. With a little knowledge you can make just about anything fabulous.

The most important elements to successful blinging (beyond creativity and crystal) are:

1. Good lighting
2. Good ventilation (most of the glues are strong scented)
3. A well organized work space.
4. A comfortable chair.

How To Apply Crystal

Tools Needed:

• Toothpick
• Curved Tip Tweezers
  
• Glue
  
• Small piece of cardboard

1. Put a dot of glue onto your object with toothpick. Start at the
   edges so that you make straight lines. Glues are easier to manage if you squeeze a little out onto a disposable surface such as aluminum foil, jar or bottle cap.
   
2. Use curved tip tweezers to pick up crystals and gently place them down.
   
3. Repeat steps until there is sufficient bling. Now you can bling it yourself !

NOTE: Never use a glue gun or super glue (cyanoacrylate) as they will damage the foil backing on the rhinestones.

How To Apply Hot-fix

Tools Needed:

• Ceramic, glass or metal plate to put your crystal on.
  
• A Kandi Kane Hot-fix Applicator.

Hot-fix crystal rhinestones, with their high- tech (but easy
to use) heat activated glue, allow you to bling clothing faster than ever before! They are truly an innovation.

1. Completely read the instructions included with your Kandi Kane hot-fix applicator ! Start by putting the right sized tip on, plug it in and activate the Kandi Kane.
2. Place all your hot-fix crystals with the crystal side facing up onto a flat metal, glass or ceramic surface. Remember, the applicator gets hot so make sure you put it onto a surface that won't burn!
3. Gently place the applicator on the top of the crystal to pick it up. Wait for a few seconds until the glue on the hot-fix starts to bubble.
4. Place the crystal down gently on whatever you are blinging.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you are fully blinged.

NOTE: Hot-fix is intended for use on fabric only- so don’t use it on your cellphone.
